One and Done

Homicide Detective Kyle Barrymore has had a rough time of late. He recently lost his wife of twenty-seven years to cancer. His relationship with his daughter is strained due to the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death. He got into an altercation with a fellow detective which garnered him mandatory sessions with a counselor to address his anger management issues. And his new partner is a rookie detective who’s being pushed up through the ranks in preparation for a future in politics, like his father who is a city councilman.
To top it all off Kyle’s latest case is one of his toughest. The victim is a recluse who hasn’t left her apartment in five years. Nor has she let anyone into her apartment during those five years. And yet, she’s found dead from a single gunshot that pierced her heart. Now Kyle must find the killer in a case where there is no murder weapon, no forensic evidence, no apparent motive, and no viable suspects.
One and Done is a classic locked room mystery that will keep you guessing to the very end.
